A Girl Can Dream

Blouse and belt, Banana Republic. Skirt, vintage. Sandals, Nine West.

Thank you for being so supportive about my last grammar post. I have several ideas on what the next will be and I'm taking my time choosing because a) I'm not the know-it-all I may have led you to believe I am, and b) I need something with a lot of potential for humor. I might as well admit that you are my test-audience in case I ever get to do a stand-up routine. My goal? Getting people to stop saying things like "Her and I are friends," "She's kinder than me," and "Us girls gotta stick together." It may be impossible to do all this with minimal heckling, but... A girl can dream!

What? "Us girls gotta stick together" is grammatically incorrect? :(

Loving the springy colors, btw!

There was a stunning lack of parenthetical asides in this post — how are we supposed to know what you're really thinking about?

I guess dreary days drain the life out of even parentheses.

I used to be the biggest grammar fanatic and, in recent years, it's all be shot to Hell. I don't know what's happened to me (maybe old age), but I make such grievous errors lately. Sad.

I'll have to read your previous post later. I'm just about at the end of my coffee break. I like this outfit! My fave color green. I think it may be spring around these parts!

Regarding the comparison "She's kind than I." I always like to add the silent "am" at the end to check myself :D
