Grammar Grams

Dress, Milly. Scarf, H&M. Belt, Joe Fresh. Handbag, Ann Taylor. Pumps, Banana Republic.

It's been a while since my last grammar post, mostly because I've been indecisive about what to tackle next. Any suggestions? I like the than-as-a-conjunction-or-preposition debate, but I fear I may be the only one. Speaking of which, I just realized I'm not the only "grammar girl" on the Internet, so I need a new nickname. Grammar Grass (too obscure?) and Grammar Gramma (Grandma was already taken) score high in terms of alliteration and consonance, but humor is also important. Please help me choose something, friends, because getting stuck with the Grim Grammarian will be fun for no one.

Ooo...I like the Grim Grammarian. It sounds so menacing! Obey the grammar rules or I'll hunt you down!

How about nouns used as verbs? Example, "She gifted me this sweater." Ugh--I hate that. What's wrong with the word "gave"?

Grim Grammars? I have a character named Jim Jammers, so clearly I find that much wittier than anyone else... but it has a ring!

Where were you going looking SOO GOOD! The dress is absolutely stunning (love the sleeves!) & the leopard heels? Oh oh my my!

My eyes went right to your headband and then your handbag. :) Gorgeous pieces. And I'm drooling over those leopard print pumps! :)

I (guiltily) admit I like the Grim Grammarian.

How about Grammalammadingdong. So kidding! Yo Grammar Grammar? Okay, I need to stop.

I need to find a pair of leopard heels. This minute.

Have you read "Eats, Shoots and Leaves"? I laughed. Quite a bit, actually. Whenever I try to explain it to my friends they respond with, "You actually read a book about grammar?"

When I was in college, I had one friend who always asked me to proofread her papers for her. When she really wanted to woo me she called me the Grammar Hammer. I pretended to hate it but secretly I loved it.

Just like I love your dress ;)

Many people whose mother tongue is English does not know how to use "whose" and "who is". you can deal with it. :)

Somehow Grammar Gram sounds like a Singing telegram, maybe you can play up that aspect of the "gram" which sounds friendly - "From my desk to yours!" LOVE this dress and those shoes! Super Duper!!

That dress is such a rich, chocolate brown! I love it with the pops of red and blue. I like Alessandra's suggestion of the Glam grammarian!

Grim Grammarian is great, but only when you wear totally awesome dresses like this one. Gorgeous...

Alessandra beat me to it--I was going to say Glam Grammarian too. Maybe you could combine it to be Glammarian. Haha, I also love Grammar Hammer. Mainly I'm just commenting because I really love this dress and these shoes.
