I wore this bloat-friendly ensemble to a dinner out a few nights ago and as you can see from the first picture, I nibbled on my hair. Now you know how I stay so thin. I'm joking, of course! I haven't eaten (my) hair since the summer of '95. No, I actually had a wonderful dinner at La Brasserie, a sweet little bistro which I reviewed here. No photos this time around, just a delightful beet and goat cheese salad with half a dozen oysters on the half-shell (Buck-A-Shuck!) and a glass or two of Riesling. You know, basic comfort food. In like, Alsace.

Comfort food and clothing are the best. This outfit is perfect on you. You look so beautiful.
You look fantastic! We're wearing similar colors today (well, we were - I'm in workout clothes now)! I love the red and turquoise combo, it's so fun.
Oh Riesling. It's a favorite. It makes me happy. :) Sounds like you had a great time!
Come take a look inside A Working Mom's Closet
Love it! I have some similar items, I might just break them out for my date night Saturday. :)
You look so cute! Good to know I'm not the only one who dresses to feast every once in a while!
You seem to know how to enjoy little things in life like eating in a bistro ,eating and sipping wine!I'm jealous.
I love that cardigan you're wearing! I have a soft spot for thin horizontal stripe prints right now. :) Also, the food sounds delicious. And food friendly attire is the best!

Hi missy! First off, I really like the pop of red in your outfit and i'm also a sucker for skinny belts!
I've never tried oysters and i'm haf curious, half terrified--I don't do well with "slimy" textures and I might even be allergic (I'm allergic to clams) so who knows, maybe if I'm feeling brave ill give them a go one day!

I absolutely adore how you paired blue and red. It's one of my favorite color combinations, and you did it so well! The colors really pop against the dark blue! Nice job! And thank you for the sweet comment on our blog! It means a lot!
