Creature of Comfort

Cardigan, Tommy Hilfiger. Shirt, RW & Co. Skirt, Banana Republic. Belt, Eddie Bauer. Tights, Hue. Pumps, Nine West.
I wore this bloat-friendly ensemble to a dinner out a few nights ago and as you can see from the first picture, I nibbled on my hair. Now you know how I stay so thin. I'm joking, of course! I haven't eaten (my) hair since the summer of '95. No, I actually had a wonderful dinner at La Brasserie, a sweet little bistro which I reviewed here. No photos this time around, just a delightful beet and goat cheese salad with half a dozen oysters on the half-shell (Buck-A-Shuck!) and a glass or two of Riesling. You know, basic comfort food. In like, Alsace.

You look fantastic! We're wearing similar colors today (well, we were - I'm in workout clothes now)! I love the red and turquoise combo, it's so fun.

Oh Riesling. It's a favorite. It makes me happy. :) Sounds like you had a great time!

I love that cardigan you're wearing! I have a soft spot for thin horizontal stripe prints right now. :) Also, the food sounds delicious. And food friendly attire is the best!

I'm so glad you recommended that place! The food was amazing and we felt a little less like tourist. Lamb cheeks I dream of thee.

Hi missy! First off, I really like the pop of red in your outfit and i'm also a sucker for skinny belts!

I've never tried oysters and i'm haf curious, half terrified--I don't do well with "slimy" textures and I might even be allergic (I'm allergic to clams) so who knows, maybe if I'm feeling brave ill give them a go one day!

I absolutely adore how you paired blue and red. It's one of my favorite color combinations, and you did it so well! The colors really pop against the dark blue! Nice job! And thank you for the sweet comment on our blog! It means a lot!
